This weekend we went to New York city. On Friday, we arrived at 5 pm after a long coach ride in traffic and headed to our hotel (named Eurostar). As we made our way there, we walked through Wall Street gazing at all the skyscraper around us and the NYSE (New York Stock Exchange).
After unpacking our bags we went to the ferry station and took a ferry to see the Statue of Liberty. We stopped for about 20 minutes in Staten Island admiring the city and its sunset.
Then, we went to have dinner in a really small crowded street. After waiting a long while, we were able to enjoy five delicious pizzas in Adrianne's. As soon as we were all full, we returned to our hotel for a good night sleep.
On Saturday, we got up early to seize the day to the fullest. We first saw the Brooklyn bridge, visited Chinatown and little Italy. Then we went to Soho and we went to buy on Broadway which had the store all the girls dreamed about, Brandy & Melville!
Afterwards, we went to see St. Paul's chapel and the 9/11 Memorial. There we learned a lot about how all was distribuded formerly. The guides were two survivors who told us their own experinece.
When it was time for lunch, we took the metro and went to Times Square to eat and shop around as this was our free time.
Then we went to the Empire State Building where we spent some time in queues for the elevators. There, we were able to see the best sightseeing we had yet encountered. After that, we traveled up 5th Avenue shopping at Nike, New Balance and NBA store) to visit the Rockefeller center.
For dinner, we ate at a place called Stardust where we ate huge hamburguers and were entertained by the waiters singing. When we all finished, we returned to Times Square to experience it at night. We finished the day by roaming through the city in a limousine. This was a great surprise.
On Sunday, we got up early too and packed all our stuff to leave. We took the metro and visited a small part on Central Park. Then we bought our lunch and got into the bus.
I can say, that this was the most exciting and wonderful weekend ever!
